Grinsfelder Associates Architects has been publishing custom Holiday Cards since 2010.  The first card included a hand-drawn rendering of our offices in West Central.  Each successive card has featured a building designed by Grinsfelder Associates, including the WFWA offices and studios, Afdent, and the Renaissance Pointe YMCA.

This year’s card features the newly opened building for Hand in Hand Comprehensive Therapy Specialists, Inc.  Hand in Hand is a locally-owned company that provides a variety of counseling and pediatric therapy services, including individual, family, and couple counseling and occupational, physical, and speech therapy.  Several years ago, they relocated to a new facility in order to meet their growing spatial needs.  However, after just a few short years in that new location, they determined that they once again needed more space.  They decided to purchase property and build a new facility that could meet both their current and future needs as their permanent home.

The new facility, located against the picturesque backdrop of the Saint Joseph River, features a dual entry, which provides separate entries for counseling and therapy clientele.  The counseling portion of the building includes eight counseling rooms, each with its own attached covered porch, and a grand staircase featuring two curving stairways ascending to the second floor.  The pediatric therapy portion of the building features nine therapy rooms and a therapy gymnasium, which includes a rock wall, ball pit, and sensory activities.

Staff began seeing clients in December of this year and are looking forward to serving more of the greater Fort Wayne community into 2020 and beyond.
