New Library Branch for the Allen County Public Library

2215 South Hanna Street
Fort Wayne, Indiana

Part of a neighborhood revitalization, the new Pontiac Library was part of a new community-oriented campus in the Hanna-Creighton neighborhood of Fort Wayne. In addition to the Pontiac Library, Grinsfelder Associates Architects, Inc. also designed the other two buildings on the block, which housed a new CANI Headstart facility and the relocated Urban League offices and Pontiac Youth Center.

The new library contains a community meeting room, dedicated juvenile stacks, a computer room, and a café. The building acts as a link between the remainder of the campus to the north and Zion Lutheran Church to the south.
